Next up for our Vendor Spotlight Series is the one and only Shannon Prodor of Tangerine Orchid!

Shannon is not only an Okanagan florist extraordinaire but is also an absolute pleasure to work with.  She really is the whole package of talented, professional, passionate, and ever so sweet!

Shannon started Tangerine Orchid back in 2013 and has grown her business ever since.  While Tangerine Orchid is located in West Kelowna, she also services floral deliveries to Kelowna as well and wedding floral creations all over the Okanagan :)

We interviewed Shannon for her spotlight and loved getting to know her even more!

What is your proudest accomplishment within your company? Balancing my family with a successful business.

Where would you like your company to be in 5 years? The 2019 wedding season was my most successful year since I began. I hope in 5 years to have put Covid behind and be on par with that year again.

Describe your dream couple/client: I love color! I get really excited when a couple gives me creative freedom and their color palette is vibrant.

Where do you feel your company stands out most? Being a business that specializes in weddings, my attention to my couples separates me from other full-service flower shops. I am able to focus on their needs exclusively.

What is your favourite quote? “Be where your feet are.”

Who inspires you most? My two sons. They are amazing boys and I feel grateful to be their mom every day!!

Where is your favourite place to dine in Kelowna? Fixx Cafe

Tell us a little about yourself: Outside of my business, I am a full-time mom. When I’m not running the boys to their various activities, I love to read, play in my flowerbeds and go hiking.

Tell us 3 fun facts about you:

    I love hair metal music
    I seriously dislike public speaking
A perfect day would include a day reading on a beach with a bag of peas and licorice.

THANK YOU so much, Shannon, for sharing with us!! And to all those who read to the end, thank you!! Stay tuned for more vendor spotlights!!
