Alana & Josh | Kelowna Backyard Wedding

Alana & Josh’s Kelowna backyard wedding was so heartfelt with so many sentimental and unique details, we just couldn’t get enough! Their intimate, summer wedding took place at Josh’s family home, surrounded by their closest family and friends. Despite the pandemic, they carried forward with their dreamy wedding day.

We met Josh & Alana only days before their wedding day when we photographed their adventurous, mountain engagement session. While they met here in Kelowna when they were actually neighbors, they are now living their dream in Haida Gwaii. The elements of their wedding were a combination of their heritage and their current lives on the island and it was a beautifully unique medley.

We were so delighted to capture so many fun and emotional moments from this magical day, from the first look with the father-of-the-bride, the rings being delivered to the altar via drone, the witness names being chosen out of a hat, to the bride’s tears during her vows, and competitive balloon game at the reception.

What a pleasure it was to be a part of such an incredible event! Congratulations to you both!
