Jordan & Kymmy | Adventure Engagement

A couple laying in a fishing boat

We could not be more thrilled that our friends, Jordan & Kymmy, are getting married!!  We’ve known Jordan for quite a few years and have been the biggest fans of his music.  As a singer/song writer, he has performed all over Kelowna, at the Calgary Stampede, Keloha Festival, Salmon Arm Roots & Blues Fest, as well as opening for many artists.  He performed during our wedding ceremony and reception, even playing the guitar for our 9 year old son (at the time) who sang our first dance song.  Ever since, he has been such a huge inspiration to our son, mentoring and supporting him every chance he gets.  Jordan holds a very special place in our hearts.

When Jordan met Kymmy, it didn’t take very long for us to love her too.  They really are just perfect for each other.  They are inseparable, both avid fly fishing enthusiasts and even spend a few months a year working at a guide camp, doing what they love most, together.

We knew we had to incorporate their true love of fishing and the outdoors into their engagement session.  This “secret” location is not only one of Jordan’s favourite fishing lakes, it’s also ours, so it seemed fitting.  Plus, you just can’t beat the colour and beauty of this lake.  The mosquitos, on the other hand, we horrible; the worst we have ever experienced!  Not only did we come home with countless bites, but the hours in photoshop to remove the pesky buggars int he photos, will haunt us forever.  BUT, IT WAS SO WORTH IT!!

Everything came together so perfectly, and again, we were able to do our thing and run with this session.  Their fishing boat and fly rods, casting, snuggling in the boat (praying it wouldn’t tip backwards), two stepping on shore, a smoke bomb (backlit during golden hour), OH, everything was so just perfect.  Thank you Jordan & Kymmy for trusting us with this time in your lives.

Hurry up 2018, it is going to such an EPIC year!!
